BA

My name is Juline Sutton, I graduated from TYP in 2008 (I think). I went on to complete my Hons B.A. from the University of Toronto in 2015. After completing my degree, I went on to work for a few companies like Dyson, BMO to name a few. In 2019, I completed my Social Service Worker diploma at George Brown College. It was a bitter sweet time because this was during the pandemic, however I had the privilege of co-founding an organization Black Women United (BWU) with professor Natalie Wood. We work to create a safe space for Black women whereby we are able to educate and empower ourselves while fostering positive mental health and wellness. This is done through strength-based workshops (virtually) programs and training.

I am currently work as a caseworker with the City of Toronto Employment and Social Services and part-time at a Women’s Shelter in the west end of the city. TYP led me to a place of self-discovery. The program empowered me to be where I am today and for that I am so grateful.
