Speaker Bio

dr.antone

Dr. Antone is a member of the Oneida of the Thames First Nation-Turtle Clan. She is Professor Emeritus, University of Toronto; Indigenous Knowledge Keeper; past Director of Aboriginal Studies/ Centre for Aboriginal Studies at the University of Toronto; former faculty member in Adult Education, Community Development, and Counselling Psychology, as well as the Transitional Year Programme; Special Advisor on Indigenous Affairs for the Committee on Teaching and Learning at the U of T; and specialist in Indigenous literacy, knowledge and ways of being.
